ATLAW training programme for lawyers launches in November

ATLEU is delighted to announce that it will be running ATLAW, its online anti trafficking training and mentoring programme for lawyers, from November 2023 to March 2024.

This year’s participants will be part of the third cohort to benefit from the programme, which is designed specifically for immigration and public law advisers working under a legal aid contract and committed to assisting survivors of trafficking and slavery. The programme is for people who are starting in this area or developing their practice.

The programme is free of charge for participants thanks to generous funding from The Legal Education Foundation.

What is ATLAW?

ATLAW is a package of training, mentoring, practical legal resources (including a course handbook, training slides and precedents), and ongoing second-tier advice to develop your confidence, skills and know-how.

The ATLAW programme not only seeks to nurture participants’ individual talent, but also to equip participants with the expertise to develop a financially sustainable approach to providing legal advice to survivors of trafficking within their organisations, and to be a catalyst for positive change across the wider advice sector.
